Avril Lavigne's agency inexplicably comes out against the RIAA.. Given that at present the music industry is seeking to co-opt anti-terrorist legislation designed to be used only in the preservation of human life to protect its intellectual property, this may not be the last example of an agency realising how much good PR can be gained by fairly small cash expenditure.

Elsewhere the international war against terror is oddly like Risk.

World peace: A rare but strangely satisfying end to the game. When there are no terrorists on the board, all remaining Empires can claim world peace, give each other a hug and go home knowing that they've learnt something special. This has happened once so far.

Speaking of games, and specifically the playing of silly buggers, you will be shocked to discover that people who administrate MMORGPs have no clue whatsoever.

Blizzard's stance was clear that recruiting for a guild using "GLBT" was inappropriate as, the company said, it may "incite certain responses in other players that will allow for discussion that we feel has no place in our game."

That is, if you mention t3h gayness, it will only upset people, who will then make with the homophobia, which will therefore be the fault of the gays. Thank God the civil rights movement in 1960s America was largely unmoderated.
