Jeremy O'Grady, founder of Intelligence Squared, which appears to be to the debating society what School Disco is to the school disco, makes the common mistake of trying to sound clever and falling over.

"There is such a lack of institutional fora other than the dance floor or the club for them to meet. It is all so hideously difficult."

Why on Earth would they want to meet institutional fora?
