 | via WFMU I discovered Coyle and Sharp. The idea of collecting three hours of radio footage per day for broadcast the same night sounds like insanity. Chris Moyles produces three hours of radio a day, I suppose, but is a) interspersed with music, b) quite clearly in the pay of Satan and c) surrounded by imps.
Elsewhere, Zoe Williams on anti-drinking campaigns is unexpectedly readable, if afflicted by tics that no sub-editor should be bullied into tolerating:
Where's the win here? It can only be financial. And this is the way government health broadcasts work these days - they flog off playing fields, then spend a fraction of the profit telling us to exercise more. They drag their feet on a smoking ban, then spend a minuscule amount of tobacco duty telling us fags make us impotent.
Oh, and that last-minute resolution to the deadlock over the Iraqi constitution didn't happpen. More disappointingly, Ricky 'the Dragon" Steamboat also failed to run into the assembly with a steel chair to help out and clean house.
